Life is like a bowl of noodles…

…you never know where it begins or ends.

I’ve tried my hand at blogging since I was around 13 or 14 and I must’ve tried all the different platforms available – from Livejournal to Blogger to Tumblr. My Tumblr is probably the thing that I’ve maintained the longest, but it’s always been random bursts of blogging and then I stop. I almost decided to nix of starting this blog and continue using Tumblr. However, after a wonderful day and a glass of wine too many, I decided to finally take the plunge and actually purchase a domain name and purchase hosting. Seriously, it was a spur of the moment thing that I did at 1 am Saturday/Sunday.

In the morning though, I did panic a bit as I questioned myself on what I was going to write and how I was going to keep this up. But I think that everyone has these questions when they start off.

The main purpose of this blog is that I want to document my travels and my food experiences. I want to have a place where I can look back on and remember that exact moment and remember what I was thinking about – and see if I can see how my thoughts will change over time. Throughout this entire journey, I also to improve my writing and be more structured. I want to become more structured not only in my thoughts, but also in my schedule.

I want to start this blog for myself and for others like me. For all those who scour the internet before a big trip looking for all the travel stories. For all those who look at Mark Wiens videos and drool. For all those who check out wiki pages of national dishes to try. For those who are curious about other people’s lives. For all those who are dreaming of far away lands while balancing their normal life in an office. For all those who try to squeeze in an additional location to an already packed itinerary in order to make the best of a vacation. For all those who want to learn more about a culture when visiting a country. For all those who enjoy food and travel.

As I said – I’m not new to blogging, but I don’t think I’ve ever felt so excited before. It’s almost like finding the perfect layout for your bujo – you know… it’s that feeling of when you find the perfect fit for your life stories. And who knows how my stories will unfold. But at this point, I just know that I want to share those stories.

So let’s get started and I hope that you will enjoy my stories as well.
